We are an organization of African Americans working in Education and Education support fields throughout the San Joaquin County that support each other and the children of San Joaquin County.

Over the past 25 years, BEASUSD has effectively organized community programs and activities that contribute to the building of strong foundations for our youth and a united community. They include:

  •  

  • A minimum of five (5) annual scholarships of $500 or more

  • Employee/Student/ Parent Advocacy

  • The Harambee Computer & Tutorial Center

  • College Admissions/ Test-taking Workshops

  • The African American Teen Male Leadership Academy

  • Videotaping/Airing of SUSD Board Meetings via Comcast Cablevision

  • The Black Graduates Recognition Program

  • Communitywide cultural celebrations

  • Historically Black College Tour Referrals/Underwriting

  • Parent Information Workshops

  • Multi-organization collaboratives, and

  • Membership in the California Alliance of African American Educators (CAAAE)
